City of Magincia to sponsor Boat Race to Newcastle’s Port Royale, Wed Dec 15th at 8pm cst

Posted in Uncategorized on 12/11/2010 by lolo

This month, in lieu of a literary contest, Lady Silverbrook of the City of Magincia will be hosting a boat race to the newly christened Port Royale of Newcastle Township this Wednesday, December 15th. All individuals shall meet at the Library and Museum in Nujel’m who wish to participate. From there, every person/ group will be given a book detailing the sea directions necessary to reach their destination, as there will be a ‘pick up point’ for items that need delivered to the port. Those who are able to pick up and drop off the supplies first will be deemed the winners of this challenge.

All proceeds from the items delivered to Port Royale will be given to the displaced refugees of Magincia, who are still currently scattered across many crown cities, as well as the Buc’s Den Orphanage for children. In addition, the First Place winner will win 2 million gold, the Second Place winner will take home 1.5 million, and the Third Place winner will have 1 million given to them in gratitude of their service to Magincia. The event will start promptly at 8pm under central skies (9pm eastern) at the Library (the former counselor’s guild in Nujel’m, on its eastern shores). Runes will be available across several crown city banks the day of the race as well on the steps of Lady Silverbrook’s estate, which is on Magincia’s northern beaches.

The coordinates for the Library and Museum in Nujel’m is 37.11N 172.20E. The Port Royale of Newcastle is at coordinates 93.41N 45.21E. Just a reminder that there will be a ‘pick up point’ for supplies that will be given to participants the evening of the race, and you must pick up and drop off these supplies in order to be eligible to win.

It is our hope to see many there who wish to aid their fellow Britannians.

OOC: YouTube Video Of Magincia Invasion

I’m unsure who posted this from Stratics, but it is a good example of the early stages of the invasion. I also was glad to see that the Ankh of Sacrifice is being put to good use.

Magincia to co-sponsor Jhelom Boat Race with the Grotto, Saturday Nov. 13th at 4pm cst

The Isle of Magincia is co sponsoring, along with Lady Tanda’s Grotto Tavern and the City of Jhelom, a boat race this Saturday, Nov. 13th, at 4pm cst.

It was brought to our attention there are a number of starving, orphan children currently living in Buccaneer’s Den by way of Councilor Beauvina of the High Councilor. Both Lady Tanda and myself have committed to assist in aiding them. To this end, we are having a boat race, the fastest ships are necessary to send food and other items to these children.

Please come to the Jhelom docks, which is the starting point for this race (177o 54’N 11o 36’E, near the Jhelom moongate). There the directions will be given, as well as notification of where a ‘checkpoint’ will be located during the race. The winners will be determined by whom reaches the final destination first. First Place will take home 2 million gold, Second Place 1 million gold, and Third Place 500,000 gold.

All that participate have our gratitude for wishing to help these children and alleviate their current suffering. As always, thank you for your help and interest.

Magincia Library & Museum Short Story Event 11.17.10, ‘A Tale of Gratitude’

Posted in Uncategorized on 11/02/2010 by lolo

This month’s Magincia Library and Museum event will be short story based.  It will involve relating a tale of gratitude. This could be any experience you have had from your travels in Sosaria, and how it affected you. This is a month where many give thanks for the things in their life, and it is welcomed to share those experiences with others.

All entries should be able to be related to the attendees in under 10 minutes. If possible, please have it prepared in a red leafed book for entry into the contest, though this is not a necessity for this month’s event (though it is preferred for judging purposes). Please be prepared to recite your essay for all attending. Lady Silverbrook and Justicar Fl’Gith will be judging the entries based on creativity, inspiration and keeping in spirit of the theme of the month.

The event will be held Wednesday, November 17th at 8pm under central skies. The first place entry will take home 2 million gold, second place 1.5 million gold, and third place 1 million gold. There will be consolation prizes given, as well, for those attending the event.

As always, we hope to see you at the Magincia Library and Museum in Nujel’m.

Magincia Under Attack!

Posted in Uncategorized on 10/16/2010 by lolo

For the past week, Magincia has been beseiged by the Bane Chosen, as well as demonic threats. Please use caution when exploring or engaging in treasure map hunting.

For those who wish to assist or find themselves upon Magincia, please be aware that the estate (upon the northern shores) currently carries badages and arrows/ bolts. Also, a public use Crystal Portal is within its halls as well as an Ankh of Sacrifice for the wounded. In addition, there is a teleporter that is linked to the Moonglow estate for the public to utilize. It may be beneficial, especially now that the moongate has been removed from Magincia, severing ties to the other lands within Sosaria and beyond.
